So, as of late, I haven't been coming home and making fabulous dinners. I suppose I go through phases. Last night, I was more than happy to call Tostitos and salsa verde avocado dip my dinner. Oh sure - there are lots of things vegans eat that nutritionists would steer clear from - and I'm pretty sure Tostitos are on the list, but hey - my husband and I love chips and salsa, so I always keep a stockpile.
However...
Chips and salsa does not a dinner make - you know, for normal folks such as yourselves. As for me, I'm working on that logic, hence the February 2017 challenge.
Although I consider myself a person interested in diet, nutrition and health, I've never attempted a juice cleanse. As a matter of fact, I've known friends who've undertaken these in the past and I thought they were bananas.
My first introduction to juicing actually came from summers spent with my grandmother. This was *long* before juicing was a popular thing. My grandmother had a juicer and she'd juice carrots. Carrots. Have you ever juiced a carrot and just drank it straight up? Doesn't taste one bit like carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
But, I'm an adult now and juicing is supposed to have tremendous health benefits. So, I can get down with additional health benefits. Therefore, I'm calling a truce. Let's juice!
